Fall Into Fitness: 5 Yoga Poses to Improve Posture

As you read this, take a moment to assess your current posture. Are your shoulders hunched forward? Is your spine arched over? Is your neck craned forward?
With the expanding role that tech plays in our lives, it’s easy to become accustomed a slouched posture, as we keep an eye on our phones, laptops and televisions. Unfortunately, poor posture might just be the reason behind the neck and back pains you’ve been suffering – or those that may emerge later down the line. Additionally, poor posture also leads to a less-than-confident personal image.
As we encourage you to fall into fitness this October, we’ve rounded up our favorite yoga poses you can try at home, work or just about anywhere, to improve your posture and promote health and wellness. With practice and persistency, your posture will improve and help you feel healthy and confident, not to mention the boost to your activity levels from all of your yoga practice.
A relaxing pose to rest and unwind. Sit on your heels and dip forward, stretching your arms backwards until you’re all curled up into a ball. Just like when you were a kid…

2. Cobra Pose
The Cobra pose is great for opening up the chest, as well as strengthening the spine. Start by laying down flat on your belly. Place your hands flat on the mat and gently push your chest upward.
As one of the most traditional poses used for meditation, the hero pose makes for a great pose to unwind while working on your posture. Start by kneeling on the floor and sit up straight on your heels. You’ll feel a good stretch to your lower body, making it difficult to slouch.
Increase the flexibility of the entire back of your body with the Locust yoga pose. Start by lying flat on your stomach. Now lift your arms and thighs to balance yourself on your torso. Just like Superman!
The Downward Dog pose is great for stretching your entire body while building strength in your arms, shoulders, and legs. Your posture benefits from the pose because it stretches and lengthens the spine and opens your shoulders.

How is your health?

How has your health been, are you doing what you can to stay healthy? 
How is your diet or exercise level, are you drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep? Maybe you don't have the proper support system?
The fact is from the time your born to the time you die your health should be the most important thing you do for your self. If your healthy on the inside it will always radiate to the outside, altering your mood and personality and how you feel about your self. YOU NEED TO LOVE YOUR SELF and we all need to start some where and every aspect of your life will improve. 
"One Simple Change" baby steps to a healthier you, starting one healthy thing for 30 days can become a habit. Eating those veggies, drinking more water, taking that evening stroll, so many things you can do, you just need to make that choice to do it.

So where will you start, what choices are you going to make?

After 3 miscarriages and overall difficulty getting pregnant, & severe muscle fatigue its time to take a close look at my health. High blood pressure, overweight & a non functioning thyroid (Hypothyroidism)  which had its own side effects.  With the loss of my only son to Cancer and all the other personal issues my health was going down hill, so slow changes were made with healthier choices which led to me getting pregnant, getting blood pressure controlled yes by meds, along with my thyroid back to proper levels.  As of right now I am getting weaned off my BP meds...YAY

Choices I have made
*Increased my workout to 5 days
*Increased my water consumption
*In general making those healthier food choices
*and yes taking my JP & complete
Changes I have seen
*Increased energy
*NO more muscle fatigue
*Clarity, better concentration, no more afternoon cloud  :o)
*lower BP
*No headaches
*Minimal to no joint pain
*Weight loss

My healthy choices makes it easier to keep up with my now 2 year old, helps me function throughout the day, helps me set new goals to achieve and overall makes me feel better about my self!

Healthy weight loss - Day 30

Defiantly out of my comfort zone, I really don't like to post full bodied pictures of my self, I would just prefer to hide from the camera.  It's amazing when you actually see your self, I mean really look, I am rather embarrassed.
I have been doing so well on the Transform 30 I needed to share (more like asked to share) Maybe sharing will even help me on this journey. Well my pictures are embarrassing, so yes I will prove to my self I can loose the weight and get healthy while doing so.

Let me first share my inspiration photo  :o) WOO HOO flashback and its not even Thursday LOL
Ok, Yes I was 26 yrs & before kids

March 4th I decided I really needed to put my foot down and really think about my own health, including my weight. I started Juice Plus + Transform 30. I really liked the fact this is a whole food based product, no added preservatives, nothing artificial. Just simply fruits and vegetables!

ALL I WANT IS HEALTH

I would like to share something that I am so passionate about.  
I have read, Googled, watched videos and ask around on this product. 
I was so amazed on what I learned and that not more people knew about it.  
With Jacob I would have loved to have something that would have bridged the gap in his diet, his chemo taste buds were for salty and spicy, my thought was at least he's eating.  :0/  Then when it came to me and my health, as a mom taking care of a son with cancer (100% of my time) I was not taking care of my self at all, nothing new I am sure we all would do it.
